Vermeer T558III Trencher

Small size, big performance. A 185 HP (138 kw) John Deere 6068HF275 engine produces the power for rock-solid results in cross-country drainage and utility pipe installations, as well as foundation and roadway projects. Combined with features like the stowable loading conveyor, a sectionalized boom, large ROPS, and auto-tilt tracks, the T558 offset trencher delivers the muscle, the cutting action, and the versatility to tackle tough trenching jobs.

  • Elevating ROPM Cab: The elevating ROPM cab offers increased operator visibility of the trench and the machine. The cab folds for easier transportation. The pressurized/filtered air, heat/air conditioning, and optional radio can offer greater comfort for the operator in all types of conditions.
  • Ergonomic Cab Enclosure: With a host of features, this cab contributes to greater operator comfort.
  • Hydrostatic Transmission: A proven high torque, powerful, and efficient hydrostatic transmission.
  • Loading Conveyor: The loading conveyor stows easily for transport and does not require removal like competitors’ products. Additionally, the conveyor stays within 8.3′ (2.5 m) in width in either trench or transport mode.
  • Option of 20″ or 30″ End Idler Boom: Customers have the ability to maximize production in dirt digging conditions with the 20″ (50.8 cm) end idler boom, or in soft rock with the 30″ (76.2 cm) end idler boom.
  • Sectionalized Boom: The sectionalized boom means better production, less tooth wear, less vibration, and easier adjustments to match the boom length to the desired depth.
