Features & Benefits
- Adjustable feed roller downforce: Variable downforce pressure enables the operator to adjust on-the-fly and/or set feed roller down force from the remote control as optimal for the incoming material. | Particularly with material requiring minimal or no feed roller downforce, reducing or temporarily pausing non-essential machine actions can help extend component wear life.
- Bolt-In replaceable wear parts: Wear plates are installed on the anvil surface, mill box side plates and mill lid. | Enables the replacement of wear surfaces without torching and welding, helping to extend the useable life of the machine.
- Box beam-style anvil: The HG4000E features a bolt-fastened, box beam-style anvil with replaceable wear surfaces. | The box beam-style anvil offers replaceable wear surfaces for economical replacement. Additionally, serviceability is increased by providing ground-level access.
- Chip drum option: A dedicated drum with knives that is adjustable from 1/8” to 1” using all the same parts. | With a large range of knife adjustability, specific chip size can be achieved by changing knife configuration allowing the operator to produce a wider range of products.
- Dual screens: Dual screens are designed to maximize the screen area surrounding the drum. | Increased screen area surrounding the drum boosts material processing efficiency. Designed to be reversible and interchangeable, the dual screens provide exceptional wear life, flexibility in desired end-product and ease of exchange.
- Independent opening mill lid: Designed not to interfere with feed roller for independent opening mill lid access. | Reduces the amount of steps involved when performing mill service.
- Infeed chain drive motor: A single, low-speed, high torque hydraulic drive motor powers the infeed chain. | The HG4000E infeed drive motor increases infeed chain pull-in force with reduced maintenance, as compared to hydraulic drive and planetary configurations.
- Minimized infeed chain gap: A dome top infeed chain with cleats reduces the gap between the infeed chain and anvil. | Reduced gap improves uniformity of the end-product, while maintaining a tractive feed table.
- Motor control panel: Mounted separately from the machine and contains circuit breakers, a soft-start or VFD module, DC injection braking system and controls system for running the unit. | Provides options to configure a control system that best fits your application.
- Series II duplex drum with two bolt grinder tips: The drum consists of 9 hammers and 18 grinder tips with 31.32” (79.5 cm) tip diameter and 60.6” (153.9 cm) cutting width. | This patented design helps decrease daily maintenance time while increasing the life of major wear components by being able to reverse the grinder tips, hammers and center section of drum. Inertia is increased as compared to pin-and-plate style rotors and balance retention is improved to enhance machine life. Maintenance is simplified by the ability to remove and replace single hammers along with the ability to externally balance the drum.
- Soft-Start motor control panel option: Mounted separately from the machine, this panel contains circuit breakers, a soft start module, DC injection braking system, and controls system for running the electric grinder. | Provides options to configure a control system that best fits your application. Limits current draw during start-up, and connects directly to line-power after starting. This starter panel can also deliver more-than-rated horsepower for brief periods.
- Thrown Object Deflector (TOD): Hydraulically controlled Cover protrudes over the hammermill area and deflects material dislodged towards ds the open end of the feed table. This feature is hinged and can be raised or lowered depending upon grinding applications by simply touching a button on the radio remote control. | Decreases the Quantity and distance of thrown objects. Allows machine to be operated in a smaller “safe” work zone.
- VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) motor control panel option: Mounted separately from the machine, this panel contains circuit breakers, a VFD module, dynamic breaking system and control system for running the electric grinder. | Provides options to configure a control system that best fits your application. Limits maximum amperage spikes and provides the ability to run at higher parameters, delivering full torque down to zero rpm.
- WEG electric motor: WEG W22 total enclosed fan-cooled 500HP (373 kW) inverter rated continuous duty motor. WEG is a trademark of WEG S.A. | Minimal maintenance motor, totally enclosed for protection, offers ease of maintenance and is supported by a worldwide respected company with high-level parts and service availability.
