Efficiently conduct surface mining with the T1255 surface miner chain drive attachment. When you need to get in and extract material close to the high wall, this attachment gives you the capability to cut along a vertical high wall. It has a maximum cutting depth of 27” (68.6 cm). The chains are driven by low-speed, high-torque hydrostatic motors.

• Elevating ROPM Cab: This machine features an elevating Rollover Protective Module (ROPM) cab. The cab is equipped with pressurized/filtered air and is climate controlled for operator comfort. An AM/FM stereo with weather band radio is also available. | The elevating ROPM cab offers increased operator visibility of the trench and the machine. The cab folds for easier transportation. The pressurized/filtered air, heat/air conditioning, and optional radio can offer greater comfort for the operator in all types of conditions.
• Ergonomic Cab Enclosure: The updated cab comes equipped with a swivel seat, trainer seat, tinted Lexan windows, filtered and pressurized incoming air, heater, air conditioner, and sound attenuating foam. | These cab features contribute to greater operator comfort.
• Hydrostatic Transmission: The hydrostatic transmission is based on the proven and reliable Vermeer hydrostatic technology, exclusively featuring the Rotary Power headshaft motor. | A proven high torque, powerful, and efficient hydrostatic transmission.
• Remote Attachment Control (RAC): The standard RAC allows the operator to remotely start and stop the engine, raise/lower the boom, and slowly rotate the chain to observe the cutters – during maintenance or service – while standing away from the digging chain. | This allows the operator easier digger chain and tooth maintenance.
• TEC® Plus: The TEC Plus electronic control system uses the proven TEC 2000 system as a foundation, but with 21st century updates. Utilizing CAN bus technology, this machine communicates with the control modules strategically located throughout the machine. | This system helps improve reliability by greatly reducing the amount of wire. The TEC Plus display allows the operator to easily monitor machine functions. The TEC Plus control system also features advanced troubleshooting capabilities over the TEC 2000.
