Engineered for an ideal balance of power and agility, the slim SC852 stump cutter can glide through a standard gate and still deliver 74 hp (55 kW) of stump-grinding power with a Deutz TD2.9L Tier 4 Final engine.  The Yellow Jacket™ Cutter System helps extend pocket and tooth life and facilitates routine maintenance.

All-wheel drive, varying speed and heavy-duty rubber tyres gets you in and around residential or off-road job sites with ease.  Updates like operator’s presence, remote mounted cooling system, as well as SmartSweep™, a new fuel tank design and hydraulic updates are also present in this powerful stump cutter.   

  • In narrow jobsite conditions that restrict use of the main control station, the operator can control ground drive and steering functions from an auxiliary control station. This feature allows the operator to follow or lead the unit through narrow and confined areas.
  • The chip blade can easily move chips around the jobsite, reducing the need to manually relocate the chips. Blade dimensions and ground clearance are designed for easy access through narrow gates and travel on uneven terrain. The rounded lower edge of the blade is designed to help reduce turf damage.
  • This design eliminates the need for clutch and belt drive maintenance. The inline drive system between the motor and gearbox are connected via a driveshaft, so no sideloads are placed on the motor which helps reduce premature wear to seals and other motor components.
  • The guard aids in chip containment and helps keep the operator away from the rotating cutter wheel.
